Day 2 Nike Showdown 2016

Ayo Dosunmu ranked #19 nationally

Ayo Dosunmu ranked #19 nationally

No secret about who had the best spring/summer of any kid in the 2018 class. This young man went from unranked to currently ranked #19 nationally. 6’3 PG Ayo Dosunmu was in the building for Nike summer showdown and on display for programs like Kansas, Illinois etc. Day #2 was the Ayo Dosunmu-Mac Irvin fire as he showed coaches his slick ability to get to the rack unbothered play after play. Also on display was 6’3 SG Justin Boyd-Meanstreets who was on fire from deep. He hit multiple three point shots that had the crowd cheering him on to hit another and that he did. We had a few young guns take the spotlight on day #2 as well. When I say young I do mean young, a 6’3 7th grader Jalen Butler-Illinois Future played up on the 15u division and more than held his own with solid breakout performances of 27pts and 18pts against a super talented Mac Irvin fire 15u squad. Next up to earn some ink was 2020 Thailand Eder-Meanstreets select who turned in some memorable performances. And then there was 2019 6’3 leaper Gerald Hunley-Chicago select who showed us he definitely belongs as he went off for big number games and a baseline jam that was bananas. Tomorrow looks to be can’t miss action
