Monica Barefield playing her 5th year at Sam Houston State University

Baylor Youth Foundation’s alumni player Monica Barefield has graduated from Iona College and now will be starting her Master at Sam Houston State University .

Monica played for our program for two years and after graduating she attended Kansas Garden City Community College and then earned a scholarship to Iona College. She had two successful years playing and learning under Coach Billi Chambers.

Monica has always been a very fast athletic PG guard who could control the flow of the game and score at will. She is a tuff player where heart over height always made her driven.

We look forward to reporting on Monica as she starting a new chapter in her life. She will be starting a Master program and finishing her last year of playing Division I  basketball playing under Coach Ravon Justice.  We will be cheering for her obtain her Master’s Degree and continue to play the game that she loves.
